The New Orleans Saints are just days away from kicking off their 2024 regular season. They'll face the Carolina Panthers in Week 1. The excitement for NFL football has begun to boil over by now. The NFL officially returned last night, Thursday September 5th.
As for the Saints, they released their final injury report of the week on Friday afternoon. Most of it matched the Thursday report. New Orleans added game statuses for the injured players.
Saints-Panthers final injury report for Week 1
Marshon Lattimore good to go against Carolina
Lattimore does not have a status for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Therefore, it's fair to infer that he is 100% ready to go for the season opener. He practiced in full twice this week.
Linebacker Pete Werner also does not have an injury designation for Sunday. He seems to be ready to go after dealing with a shoulder injury.
Three Saints players listed as questionable
Willie Gay Jr., Nick Saldiveri, and A.T. Perry are all questionable for Week 1. Perry missed practice on Thursday and Friday with a hand injury. According to head coach Dennis Allen, it is not broken.
The other two were limited all week. We will see if they are able to suit up for New Orleans.
Four other players were ruled out for Week 1. Tight end Dallin Holker, linebacker Jaylan Ford, linebacker D'Marco Jackson, and defensive tackle Khalen Saunders will all be inactive on Sunday due to injury.
