The latest spin-off from The Walking Dead franchise is set to air on Sky TV. The Walking Dead: Dead City stars Maggie and Negan who travel into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan cut off from the mainland in search of Maggie's kidnapped son, Hershel.
Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan both return as their iconic characters in a series that was first broadcast in the US on AMC on June 18, 2023. The first series of The Walking Dead: Dead City will finally air on Sky Max on Thursday, August 22 at 9pm and a second season is lined up.
The series also stars Orange Is The New Black's Dascha Polanco, Animal Kingdom actor Jake Weary, It Follows star Keir Gilchrist, and Terrifier star Pooya Mohseni. But who else stars in the new drama?
Who stars in The Walking Dead: Dead City?
Glenn's widow is the leader of the Hilltop Colony, a community of survivors who relocated from Virginia to New York. She is keen to find her kidnapped son Hershel in a crumbling city full of the dead and alarming characters.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Negan
The former leader of the Saviors, who reformed into an ally towards the end of The Walking Dead, had left the Commonwealth with his pregnant wife Annie to build a life together. Now she forms an unlikely alliance with Maggie, the wife of Glenn who he brutally murdered.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a popular name in TV and film thanks to his roles as the Comedian in superhero film Watchmen, Clay in The Losers, Sgt. Maj Andrew Tanner in Red Dawn and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Gaius Charles plays Perlie Armstrong
Perlie is a marshal for the New Babylon Federation and is tasked with hunting down Negan. The American actor is best known for his portrayal of Brian "Smash" Williams in the TV drama Friday Night Lights and also played Dr. Shane Ross in Grey's Anatomy.
Željko Ivanek plays "The Croat"
Originally from Croatia, the Croat is a sadistic former member of the Saviors who has kidnapped Hershel. He is also the leader of the Burazi, a group of hostile survivors who have taken control of Manhattan.
Ivanek has appeared in many years including Hannibal, Black Hawk Down, Live Free or Die Hard, The Bourne Legacy, Argo, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Mahina Napoleon plays Ginny
A young girl under Negan's care who is selectively mute following the traumatic death of her father. Ginny’s father was killed by Negan and he is wanted for his death.
This is Mahina Napoleon’s first major role.
