Where the good news shines
A national television audience will have plenty of chances to witness the greatness on NHL MVP Nathan MacKinnon.
The league announced on Thursday that the Colorado Avalanche will have 17 games broadcast by ESPN and TNT networks. The team's season opener at Vegas will be on TNT on Oct. 9
Two matchups with the Dallas Stars (Nov. 29 and March 16) will be on TNT. The Stars knocked the Avs out of the playoffs in six games last season.
Colorado will also face off with the first-year team in Utah on Dec. 27. That game will be televised by ESPN2.
