Dixon led the Huskies to a 17-10 victory over No. 2 ranked Centennial High School on August 30. A one-yard touchdown run by quarterback Rich Lucero Jr. in the fourth quarter delivered Dixon the first win as head coach of his alma mater. Dixon helped lead the Huskies to back-to-back state championships as a player in 2003-04.

In addition to receiving a plaque with statistics acknowledging the Coach of the Week award, the Hamilton High School football program will get a check for $2,000 on behalf of the NFL Foundation and Cardinals Charities in a ceremony at the school on Wednesday, September 4. The Cardinals’ weekly “Coach of the Week” program presents a selected high school coach with a certificate signed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Cardinals Owner Michael Bidwill, and Head Coach Jonathan Gannon.

Knutson led the Chargers to a 54-33 victory over Maricopa High School last Thursday night. In the win, Knutson completed 25-of-41 passes for 466 yards and six touchdowns. He also added 45 rushing yards and one touchdown on the ground.
