Muhammad (6-3, 250; Miami), is 29 years old (March 28) and entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick by the Saints in 2017. He played four games with the Saints, then 64 with 25 starts in four seasons with the Colts and then 16 games with nine starts with the Bears in 2022.

That’s a total of 84 games/34 starts in which he compiled 12.0 sacks, 23 tackles for loss and 33 quarterback hits.

In 2023, Muhammad was cut by the Bears on Feb. 21 and signed by the Colts on July 25 where he was released Aug. 29 and signed to the practice squad the following day. However, he was suspended six games on Dec. 6 by the NFL for violating the PED policy and his practice-squad contract expired after the season.

With one game remaining on his suspension, the Cowboys signed him on Aug. 2 and released him Aug. 28 the day after the suspension began. He was reinstated Sept. 10.

Tryout: LB Ronnie Perkins

Perkins (6-3, 250; Oklahoma) turned 25 on Sunday (Sept. 29) and was a third-round pick by the Patriots in 2021. He was inactive for most of that season and spent all of 2022 on injured reserve. Perkins was signed to New England’s practice squad on Aug. 30, 2023, after being waived the day before, and then signed by the Broncos on Sept. 18. He played seven games and ended the season on Denver’s practice squad.

Back with the Broncos this past summer, he was waived/injured on Aug. 6, placed on injured reserve the next day and then waived on Sept. 17.
