Cardinals add offensive lineman to Thursday’s Week 3 injury report

The Arizona Cardinals, already with offensive tackles Jonah Williams and Christian Jones on injured reserve, added their current starting right tackle to Thursday’s Week 3 injury report.

Kelvin Beachum, who filled in as the starter for Williams in the Cardinals’ (1-1) 41-10 Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Rams, was limited in Thursday’s practice with a hamstring injury.

Cardinals add offensive lineman to Thursday’s Week 3 injury report

Rookie outside linebacker Xavier Thomas, who played 21 snaps against the Rams, did not practice due to personal reasons, while defensive lineman Dante Stills remained a limited participant after popping up on Wednesday’s injury report with a shoulder injury. Offensive lineman Will Hernandez (ankle) and wide receiver Xavier Weaver (oblique) fully participated for the second-straight day.

This is Arizona’s full Thursday report:

  • OLB Xavier Thomas (NIR-Personal) – DNP
  • OL Kelvin Beachum (Hamstring) – Limited
  • DL Dante Stills (Shoulder) – Limited
  • OL Will Hernandez (Ankle) – Full
  • WR Xavier Weaver (Oblique) – Full

The Cardinals are already facing a tough task going against Detroit Lions’ star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who had five sacks in Week 2, so losing Beachum would be a tough blow. Jackson Barton would be Beachum’s likely replacement if he’s not able to go Sunday.

The Lions (1-1) have the same players on their injury report as Wednesday, but guard Graham Glasgow and linebacker Alex Anzalone were upgraded from non-participants in practice Wednesday to limited on Thursday. Safety Kerby Joseph was a full participant in practice after being limited yesterday.

  • CB Terrion Arnold (Illness) – DNP
  • S Ifeatu Melifonwu (Ankle) – DNP
  • CB Ennis Rakestraw (Hamstring) – DNP
  • G Graham Glasgow (Knee) – Limited
  • LB Alex Anzalone (Concussion) – Limited
  • WR Isaiah Williams (Abdomen) – Limited
  • S Kerby Joseph (Back) – Full
  • DE Marcus Davenport (Groin) – Full
  • WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (Quadricep) – Full

Sunday’s game kicks off at 1:25 p.m. MST at State Farm Stadium.
