Bengals vs. Panthers Injury Report: Trey Hendrickson and Diontae Johnson get DNP

Both sides are pretty banged up.

With a disaster of an 0-4 start a possibility, the Cincinnati Bengals got back to work Thursday before their meeting with the Carolina Panthers. Both sides have relatively long injury reports as they get later in the week.

Key Injury Analysis from Wednesday 11/15

For the Bengals, star receiver Ja’Marr Chase (shoulder) was back as a full participant for Thursday’s practice, signaling that he should be good to go Sunday.

Trey Hendrickson missed his second straight day of practice due to an illness. He should be good to play on Sunday, provided he feels better. Hendrickson has been virtually the Bengals’ only pass rusher, so the coaches won’t hold him out if he feels up to playing.

Rookie defensive tackle Kris Jenkins (thumb) was again a full participant, which is great news, considering neither BJ Hill (hamstring) nor Sheldon Rankins (hamstring) participated in practice at all. Jenkins could be in line for an even bigger role this week.

Joe Bachie (wrist) was again full go, but tight end Tanner Hudson (knee) was still sidelined with the injury suffered in Week 1.

For Carolina, cornerback Lonnie Johnson (hip), guard Damien Lewis (elbow), and defensive tackle Ty Tuttle (foot) all missed practice for the second straight day, putting their status for Sunday in doubt.

Wide receiver Diontae Johnson (groin) was a new addition to the report and did not practice at all Thursday, while offensive tackle Taylor Moton got a rest day. Johnson later told reporters he plans to play this week.

All other players on the Panthers' injury report were limited or better.
