After a dominant win over the Rams in Week 2, the Arizona Cardinals have signed former Los Angeles Rams seventh-round pick from the 2023 NFL Draft, safety Jason Taylor II, to their practice squad. Taylor appeared in four games for the Rams last season and also saw action during the 2024 preseason.
During his college career at Oklahoma State, Taylor was a standout on defense. In his senior season, he led the Big 12 Conference with 80 solo tackles and also topped the conference in interceptions, showcasing his playmaking abilities.
Taylor’s athleticism was on full display at the NFL Combine, where he impressed scouts by running a 4.50-second 40-yard dash and recording an eye-popping 43-inch vertical jump.
He did play in preseason with the Rams this summer.
Ahead of their Week 3 matchup against the Detroit Lions, Arizona also released Marquis Hayes from their practice squad. Hayes, a seventh-round pick by Arizona in the 2022 NFL Draft, has been in and out of the organization since being drafted. The 25-year-old appeared in preseason games for the Cardinals in both 2023 and 2024. During his time at Oklahoma, Hayes was a consistent starter and earned second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2021.
